Ant killer spray (aerosol insecticide) — household safety profile
Elevated riskAerosol spray insecticide for indoor ant control.
What is this product?
Aerosol spray insecticide for indoor ant control. Contains pyrethrins (natural pyrethrum extract) synergized with piperonyl butoxide (PBO) to block insect detoxification enzymes, plus imiprothrin as a fast-knockdown synthetic pyrethroid. Propelled by petroleum-based propellants. Primary hazards include respiratory irritation from aerosol inhalation in enclosed spaces, neurotoxic pyrethroids affecting children and pets at lower doses, and flammable propellants. Cats are especially sensitive to pyrethroid toxicity due to deficient glucuronidation.
